MISSION BRIEF

​​

Overview April 1975. Saigon is falling. Helicopters become the only way out. This mission recreates the final rooftop extractions: low‑level urban flying, tight spacing, and disciplined landings under pressure.

Objective Ingress into downtown Saigon, execute rooftop pickups at designated LZ, and return all aircraft safely to the carrier group (CV75).

Flight Flow

• Depart carrier group (CV75) and form staggered trail.

• Follow direct route flight plan into the city at low altitude.

• Cycle aircraft through rooftop pads with short load simulations.

• Reform outside the city and RTB as a group.

 

Comms Minimal‑comms: Inbound, On the roof, Lifting, Clear. Emergencies: Wave‑off, Engine, Tail rotor, Down.

Challenges Confined-area landings, rotor wash, dusk haze, and tight urban navigation.

Success Each aircraft completes a rooftop cycle with clean spacing and a smooth, cinematic flow.
